Carrie Neumayer is a participant in the Kentucky Arts Council‘s Teaching Artists Directory, a juried roster of professional teaching artists. The arts council is funded with state tax dollars and federal funding from the National Endowment from for the Arts. Her artist page is located here. Carrie also does residencies and workshops through the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft, the Speed Art Museum, Louisville Visual Art Association and VSA Arts Kentucky.
Carrie taught art in Jefferson County Public Schools for over 8 years. She spent two years teaching art and darkroom photography at Louisville Male High School, three years teaching art to students in grades 6-8 at Meyzeek Middle School and 3 years teaching students in grades K-5 at Jane Glass Hite Elementary School. Carrie also worked with the City of Louisville’s Studio 2000 program, both as an Assistant Artist and later as a Master Artist in the painting and mixed media department.
August 2015- Almaty, Kazakhstan! As part of the US Arts Envoy program, I am honored to be working with local children, local artists, and educators to create public artwork as part of Almaty’s International Contemporary Art Festival, ARTBAT 6!
