Zine reading event on 12/27

I will be participating in this zine reading event on Thursday, December 27th at The Rudyard Kipling. Here’s a facebook event page about it.

Rad Dad: Dispatches from the Frontiers of Fatherhood combines the best pieces from the award-winning zine Rad Dad and from the blog Daddy Dialectic, two kindred publications that have tried to explore parenting as political territory. Both of these projects have pushed the conversation around fathering beyond the safe, apolitical focus most books and websites stick to; they have not been complacent but have worked hard to create a diverse, multi-faceted space in which to grapple with the complexity of fathering.

Cheyenne Neckmonster will be reading from her personal zine,
“Neckmonster;” her zine about karaoke, “Empty Orchestra;” and probably a snippet or two from her extensive back-catalog of one-offprojects. She runs Copy That! Distro out of Lexington, Kentucky.

AND Louisville writers June Leffler and Carrie Neumayer will be sharing their talents as well.

This event is all ages, and there is no charge at the door. Guests are encouraged to support the Rud by purchasing food and drink, as well as contributing to the Rud’s fundraising drive the Center for Women and Families.
